What led you to join the military?

Looking to gain life experience and learn a trade.

How has your military service impacted your life?

The military life teaches you skills like commitment, dedication, integrity, and leadership. I rely on these skills every day to help me be a better manager, leader, friend, husband, and father. I’m grateful for my brothers and sisters whom I served with during Operation Desert Storm.

What was your greatest challenge in the military?

The biggest challenge was the first six weeks of basic training and being away from family and the life as you knew it. The unknown was a psychological challenge.

What is something you learned in the military that you still use today?

Patience and self-esteem!
