PJammin for Kids with Cancer

Texas Materials Group has partnered with the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) in honor of PJammin for Kids with Cancer, a fundraiser to support children battling cancer. Employees across all of our Texas companies joined together to raise donations, which TMG was proud to match dollar for dollar, bringing the total raised to over $26,000.

Pajamas are known as the battle uniform for children with cancer, and we want to join their fight. On National Pajama Day this April, employees will wear pajamas to work in solidarity with children fighting cancer and to raise awareness and funds for the ACCO. Our field employees and those in safety sensitive positions will show their support by wearing a PJammin bracelet and hard hat sticker.

The money collected by our teams to date has been used to purchase goods for care packages for some of the children the ACCO serves.  Two of our employees, Angela W. and Bonnie P., even visited ACCO’s headquarters in Maryland to assemble medical play kits for the children and their families. There were 263 children awaiting their medical kits, and thankfully our donations wiped the list clean.

If you’d like to join us in fighting back against childhood cancer, please visit the ACCO’s website to learn more: https://www.acco.org/
